第二、教学目标:1.学会根据上下文猜测词义,增强学生的看能力,培养学生的语感。

              2.教育学生学会对过重压力和承受并找寻解决问题的方法。

其三、教学重点难点:1.New words and expressions .  2.To improve the reading skills.

四、教学准备:multimedia ,an English textbook,blackboard,CAI or courseware

、教学过程:

Step 1 .Greeting and leading in: Today Id like to talk with you about the after-school activities. What do you do after school?

T:Have you taken any classes like this before? When did you begin to take? What did you learn? Did your parents go with you?

Step 2.1a .Let the Ss order them[1-8] with 1 being the most favorite thing you do to lower stress. Then check Ss answers.

Step 3.1b. Ask two Ss to present their answers and let Ss read them together.

Step 4.1c . Let Ss do it while they are listening to the tape. Then check their answers.

Step 5. 1d. Let Ss do it as step 4.

Step 6. 1e. Let several students in pairs practise the dialogue.

Step 7.2a. Let Ss do it as step 4.

Step 8. 2b. Reading 1.Skim reading  Have the students read through the passage and try to find the answers to the following questions:

                2.Guessing the texts meanings.  3. Teach new words and expressions.  4. Detail reading.

Step 9. After-reading Discuss the questions with a partner in pairs.

Step 10. Further thinking Pressure is a serious problem in todays world. We should find ways to  relax.

Step 11. Summary  and homework

1. Remember the new words and expressions and recite 2b.

2. Do the students exercise book of No. 3 period on page 36.

七、教学反思:依照节课主要采用自主学习的方法,培养学生的看理解能力,如果学生学会使用阅读技巧。以听说读写渗透到阅读教学,实现阅读课文的完整教学。因为学生熟悉的话题导入,通过感兴趣的移动开始,振奋学生阅读的兴趣,再被学生了解本单元的看策略,连在读中使用,末了通过问题检验学生对文章的了解。被学生了解不仅中国学生面临巨大压力,国外的子女呢面临同一问题,对这种现象,如果学会放松。
